Lets see your Pen Knives

The only one I have left is my late maternal grandmother's old Imperial shown here with her old butcher knife. She alway had that pen with her, especilly when we went fishing togeather! I've had at least a couple of Buck Penknifes before...

The Schrade catalog from the 1960s identifies this as a serpentine jack, but it's construction seems to fit my understanding of a pen knife.

Here is a pretty ordinary example that I have.

I gave one of those to a brother-in-law many years ago, but I don't remember what it is called. Very nice slim profile for carrying in an office work environment (he's an IT guy).

Really enjoying this post everyone.

My Case helped with breakfast this weekend.. I carry mine most every day.

That is a red Secretary. The ones with plastic handles are called Pocket Pals.

Other than my #33 and White Owl, I have a few others called pen knives including this Case large pen:

I have a couple of small ones too, a Boker in Rosewood and a Case small pen in yellow/brown bone. Pen knives along with Peanuts, tiny Trappers, small Congress and Stockman's are great for work since they fit in khakis and are pretty inoffensive looking.

Here's the latest one I've found. I don't know who made it, but the USA is clear. I love this blade shape, and it's a very nicely put together piece.

The only ones I have pictures of are this Case I inherited when my grandfather passed

Unless we include whittlers, which are technically a type of pen knife, I only have a few...

This is not a pen knife... but it has a pen and a knife. ;)

GEC #33 is a pen? They much larger that what I thought was a pen knife.
I usually call them all pocketknives, to be safe. Some people think a penknife is a small pocketknife; some people think it's a pocketknife with blades at both ends, except for double-ended jacks, which apparently aren't penknives.

Here are some pens, omitting tiny knives with blades at one end; and MOPs, lobsters, and Germans, which have been seen on threads for those.
Camillus, Camillus, Buck, Case, Kabar, AW Wadsworth (ok, one German, but the season approaches), A Field Co /Progress. All and only pen blades except the clips on the second Camillus and the Buck.

Pens make up the largest single pattern in my collection, (about 25) so far, here's a quick pic of a few I had on the table, I'll post more later.
