Here's Max, a Tibetan Terrier. The kids have given him numerous nicknames, like "Maximus Prime", "Nutley", "Li'l Buff" or "Littlest Lunesta" (??? I still haven't figured that one out).
I am unable to post photos at this time but a few days ago my daughter gave us an exotic shorthair Persian kitten. It looks like the cat in this photo. What a freak of nature. It behaves more like a dog than a cat. http://absolutelycats.tripod.com/ZExoticPerfikatz.jpg
This is Piglet, AKA "The Pig." She has more energy than the sun. We are not sure of her breed. She is half boston terrier and half boxer or pit. I have german shepherd too, but I can't find any of the pictures on my pc.
OK, I can't really say it is a pet but here is a Texas spiny lizard that hangs out on my back porch. Pretty good size. That is a sunflower seed by his foot.
This is Ace waiting for his "Momma" to come home.
Ace is a Rat Terrier mix, mostly Rat Terrier, with all the characteristics of a Terrier naturally.
We rescued Ace from the SPCA animal shelter at Bartlesville Oklahoma two years ago the day before this coming Thanksgiving.
Ace has been a real blessing for us and has come a long, long, way!
When we first got Ace he was scared and shy, after a couple of classes at the Tulsa Companion School for Dogs and continued training he is now an outgoing dog that loves everyone and knows lots of tricks.
Ace is by far the smartest dog we've ever had.
You know... My dogs died a long time ago, and right now with two young kids, we can't really afford to get a dog or a cat.
But this thread got me to thinking about how I always looked at them more as just furry members of the family as opposed to pets. Good times. Good friends. Unconditional love and loyalty.
