I am sure this has been done many times before but how about seeing your rare, unusual or one of a kind knife. That uncommon knife you just don’t come across too often…or ever.

Here’s a picture of my Shaka Bush Knife….

Kim Breed made this for me.

For Silat. Slightly bigger than your average korambit.

I also have a bunch of other weird ones here and there too.

Not sure if it qualifies, but here is my very first pocket knife. Given to me about 45 years ago by my Grandfather. It is an imperial and I am still amazed I have managed to hang onto it all these years.

This one is an old Olsen that my wife bought for me while we were on vacation about 30 years ago.

Neither knife is worth anything, but I wouldn't sell either one for a pile of cash.

Is that a Cattaraugus 225Q? If so, here is one that I completely tore down and rebuilt.

It is not a Cattaraugus 225Q, but cool knife!

Here is some info Toooj from Ka-Bar gave me on it.

Okay Ducktape,

Your knife is a Union Cutlery Model #598. They came in 5" and 6" lengths. Me thinks you have the 5" blade so it is #598-5
They were produced under the KA-BAR and Olcut brands. Circa 1927-45. The original pommel was a shaped aluminum cap. The colored fiber and brass spacer configuration near the guard was repeated next to the pommel.
Seems to be in pretty good shape. Due to the "new" pommel there probably isn't much value but it will be a good user.
Hope this helps.

Best Regards,

I've yet to see another of these in person :) and further I've yet to hear of anyone else who EDCs it if they even own it.
