I like it. I built the filing jig from Aaron Gough's video when I first started out. I don't use it for a filing guide anymore but used with a clamp it's great for holding a knife in all sorts of ways like you'd done in that picture. I use it all the time when doing hand finishing on the blade or handle. I guess I could put the whole thing in a giant pipe and call it a knife vise.
