Sawing this piece of beechwood my Opinel #12 snapped?!
Luckily without personal harm.
It's still pretty new... I'll check out if the warranty covers this.

I use the corona one and its very surprising how much wood it can chew through and how fast it does it for its size. Defiantly not a lightweight backpack saw though.

knoefz with all those stress concentrators it's a wonder it doesn't happen more often !

I have good truck tools but don't use them often these days. But today I needed it for one job. Yesterday's wind did take down a pine branch . Oh ! I do have a truck saw a big folding Gerber !! Zip, Zip and it was done ! Strange that we were out of power for 7 days from a previous big storm [ 4 in March ! ] but the storm yesterday took a few more here in the Catskill Mtns ! You could test saws forever here just working on the storm damage .The most common trucks on the road are log trucks !

We had a serious storms about 6 weeks back that still shows blown over trees in the woods around here.
The saw action was just for some fun out in the woods so no stress about that.
Still bummed this happenend though. It was a present from my GF *sigh*

Dandy 28" saw (with some handlebar tape) for when things get serious

I also have an Irwin 16" all-purpose wood saw with a cardboard cover that travels in the pack when I know wood cutting is a task I'll need to do a lot of. It cuts so much faster than my other saws when it comes to dry, dead wood that it's worth the added space.
Top of the wood pile here from a few hours of cutting up a downed tree in the back marsh.

The 3 sets of gloves are because I keep getting rashes, likely mild poison ivy, on my wrists so I was testing out a some new gloves with long wrists and are easily washable to help keep the oil from getting into them and sticking around like in my prior pairs leather gloves.

I have a few that I use pretty regularly.

My little Opinel #12 has been a workhorse for me. Because it's so convenient. I carry it on my belt in a Bager Claw leather sheath.
Just so handy.

I'll try and get more posted up here when I have more time.

Little late to the thread but this carries well in my hunting pack and is pretty versatile.
