  • Today marks the 24th anniversary of 9/11. I pray that this nation does not forget the loss of lives from this horrible event. Yesterday conservative commentator Charlie Kirk was murdered, and I worry about what is to come. Please love one another and your family in these trying times - Spark

Let's see your Striders!!!!!!

@dbltap45 that SMF looks really nice. Damn if it doesn't remind me of one I used to have. :)

@Gizler I loved the DB since the very first one I held. Personally I never found much use for them, for me, but I've owned
a few and will always like them. It is certainly a good knife to keep around.

I am in the same boat on the DB, and I haven't really asked Mr. Gizler what he's done with it so far....

It's a knife I wan't to own, but to do what?!!

It kinda looks like an integral part of a tool kit that I would keep under my bed if the apocalypse comes!!

To answer both of you guys on the DB. I really have it on my for that just in case scenario. It might sound silly to some but it rides so well in the cargo pocket of my pants/shorts that it's really not noticeable.

I feel as though the SA would serve as a better utility knife due to its better slicing ability over the DB.

Don't get me wrong, the DB cuts pretty darn good from the little I have done with it.

I really need to do some actual testing to see how it does perform daily tasks. I can say that it opened my mail just fine the same day it arrived. It also slices through some dried wood I had outside using the primary edge.

Again your results and thoughts might be different.

I guess it's just a backup to my SNG or Large 21 depending on what I choose to carry.

Not sure if that helps just yet. I promise that I will do an actual usage review.

Another new addition to the family arrived today!!!! After I reluctantly sold my beloved SNG, I decided to pick up another SMF. I did not realize how much I missed the larger size!

This is the smoothest knife I have ever owned. It glides open like its on bearings while remaining solid with no play in any direction. Also has the flamed Ti which I have wanted from the get go with these striders.

Enough talk here she is!

I'm not sure how I never noticed this thread until now - LOL. Maybe because I never thought I would ever see a Strider thread on BF ;)

More pictures later as I take them:

Strider... a hell of a folder.
I'm EDCing a Buck/Strider 881. Anyone else?

Been carrying this one for the most part since I've gotten it.. Not huge on the DGG but I got a wonky SMF w/DGG for a steal and I'm waiting to get it back from the SPA for my new work/beater knife.. Carrying an older Lego SMF today that I've had ever since the Gen 2s came out..
