My second favorite tactical Buck is my user Buck Strider 880 spearpoint in ATS-34. Both, the one in the above post and this one are from 2000.

I really like the sturdy feel of these in the hand.
 
Does it have to be designed for war, or does it count if it just accidentally found its way there?

I carried this for a number of years on my pistol belt. The Buck sheath just didn't last so I picked up a replacement 'ballistic nylon' model that was being sold in the PX back then. They were made by Brigade Quartermasters if I remember correctly. Not a bad sheath.

One day I took it down to the motor pool and had our machine shop guy drill a hole in the pommel.

Fast forward about 8 years and this knife just happened to be in my duffle bag when we loaded up for Desert Shield/Storm and it ended up doing a lot of base camp chores (by then I was sporting a Randall Model 14 on my pistol belt). I never did like the excessive 'belly' on these early-mid 80's blades and I think the current 119 profile is much better.
 
I don't think of it as "tactical" but it is black so maybe it is.

I know these must be tactical as I carried them for a time when I was in the Marines. But they aren't black so I might be wrong.

Here's a few I have... I don't really care for Tactical Buck Knives... Well I do like the 184s...

These are my tactical knives. I carry a 486 for everyday use. When I nicer I carry the Vantage Force Pro.
 
I guess the General in 440C is about as tactical as they get. The Hoodlum even more so. Since I don't run as fast as I used to, and I am not trained in art of carving?, I hike a 357 Magnum around.View attachment 390187
