I hope this is not viewed as sacrilegious, but I modified this old Barlow to a single blade. I also forced a patina. It carries so much better as a single blade and has now become one of my regulars.

Yes, and they have a different tang stamp for CV and SS.

The "S" in CASE is the lightning one for stainless steel, and a standard "S" for the CV.
