Let's see your Traditional Case knives, old to new.

Always makes me wonder why they don't dont make a stockman on the smaller frame. I love my 18s, but one on that jack frame would be sweet! Especially with a punch in it. :D
They do currently make one in the brown delrin series, but instead of clip, sheepsfoot, and pen or spay, it has clip, pen, and spay. Not exactly what I look for in a stockman.

Edit: Just noticed JohnDF JohnDF had already answered your question. Sorry about that.

Welp, my reminder of why I never buy Case knives sight unseen arrived. Covers are not well matched, and the closing snap is super weak on both. After lots of oil and joint cleaning, it's approaching acceptable for a toothpick pattern... from case... Peened too tight I believe and based on the rub marks already on the tangs. I'll try to widen it a tiny bit, has helped in the past. Oh well.

I purchased two of that exact same model. Both had really weak springs on the cleaner blade. I sent both back for a refund. It’s a shame because they are great looking knives and I loved the hook on the bolster.

Thank you, it's actually brown on the mark side and black on the pile side.:thumbsup:

Still like it! ‘79 I love the one dot. I know around 78/79 the shields are hit and miss as far as being pinned...but the jack knife frame is a tiny bit more stout and a smidge shorter. Love that knife ;)

I like the Fish Hook engraved in the lower bolster of the knife. Perhaps Case did that, as a reminder, that years ago Case and other companies that made these fish knives drilled a tiny hole in that lower bolster for straightening the tip of the fish hook or to bend it to better hook whatever species of fish one was fishing for.

Overall I see nothing wrong with that knife. If you can improve the pull all the better. It's a looker. Hmmm, I'm tempted to order one.
