Here’s a new one that is VERY good quality. Flush in all three positions, centered, no gaps, great action, nice grind, sharp out of the box. Not to mention it looks great to!

Just messing with ya Pollack! There are several folks here on the porch that make slips. Mine was made by my buddy JohnDF , and I totally understand why it caught your eye, it’s awesome. He is doing a GAW for a slip each month for the rest of the year. Watch for the thread, and good luck.

Case XX Slimline Trapper. Excessive blade play so snugged up in the vice and peened the pivot pin, solid with no play now and great walk and talk

In my experience, almost without exception, Case does the swaybacks VERY well. The swayback jacks (two blades) even have a wrap-around spring for the shorter pen blade. Very classy....

I really like the look of the sycamore wood... I wish that Case would do a "natural" sycamore, with no dyes. I think it would age very nicely.
