Let's see your traditional mammoth and/or ivory

Got to the bottom of that, thanks for the kind words Jeff, Robin and Markesharp.

Nice knives guys!

I've got a few, including this City Knife from Eldon Talley in Mammoth Ivory.

only one i have
(once i got two small pieces of mammuth and couldn't think of anything else than to use it on knife :) )

Some sweet knives in this thread. Ivory is my favorite scale material, makes me imagine the journey it has taken.

Thanks Ken, you have quite a nice Northfield lineup. Was searching them on KSF today, temptation was great but I but managed to stay strong.

You know you got it bad when you start scouring the net for pieces to send to custom makers.

John, that pair of Northwoods you have is what really got me sucked into mammoth. They are just beautiful.

Great looking Ivory so far.
This is one thread I really wish I could add to. Gotta join the club soon.

Hat's off, ladies and gents. I knew this thread would be fun but I wasn't prepared for the breadth and scope of the knives that have been posted. Amazing!

I originally told myself that my new 66 would probably be my "one-time-only" mammoth splurge. I wasn't able to get in on the ivory before the ban so I had no hope of those. After seeing the knives posted here (especially those Northwoods, WOW!) I'm thinking there may be at least more mammoth in my future.

Keep 'em coming!

All these knives are beautiful guys. I need to save a spot here for when I get my camera out and I can show off my ivory.

Logan,

Sorry to have started you down the primrose path ... well ... only kinda sorry. :)

Knifenewbie,

Keep an eye on the Knifemaking supplies and tools in the Exchange section or google.
