I find it interesting how there's so many different variations in the color and grain of a single type of wood. It certainly allows for more uniqueness, so that's good:thumbup:
 
No inlay thread is complete without bocote. Kind of have a love - hate relationship with bocote. I can see one example (grain/coloring) and hate it. Can see another and love it. Seems to be very little "in between" room for me. That said, I have three CRKs in bocote - two Mnandi and this small Sebenza (naturally, this one sports a grain/color that I love!):

OMG....Stunning. Bocote is my favorite CRK wood. Has a little of both light and dark in it. I agree some are plain and look almost like oak, while others are stunning like this fine example.

Yes, here is the other side. I like the box elder on this one because it shows many of the variations on one inlay. Use this knife every day.
