Let's See Your Yellowhorse Knives

DOGPOUND77 I just bought a 314 that looks like that NIB but the box it came in was really bright colored and small but it is a Buck factory box. It also has what looks like a leather pouch. .I have 2 other Yellowhorse knives this will be my 3rd. The first was a Lacy with a satin finish blade the other is one of 5 or 6 with Afghanistan lapis (I think ) my brother David commissioned 2 112's and 3 110's 5 years ago. I will post some pics when he figures out what hosting site to use lol ! The 314 was a screeming deal and it will be hard not to trade for a custom ordered 110 a friend of my son's has who thinks it's to heavy to carry. I haven't seen the 110 yet but I know it's factory stag. Dave is a genuine genius in the art of knive embellishments his original jewelry is over the top.

Here is a recent find, David Yellowhorse's Old Glory, 112. It's an older issue and I've desired one since I first saw it. Finally found one available, at a good price! It's a nice piece and I'm enjoying it. Not sure if I'll carry it. Preston

ran across my 112 old glory looking for another knife I never found...:D:cool:

I love my 'Old Glory', I do notice a few differences between the two of them, but don't know enough about them to say why they're different. Hope you find the 'lost' knife. Preston

If they are the set I am thinking of, yes it is Lapis from Afghanistan, I sent it to your brother while I was there. Hope he's doing well, don't hear from him much anymore.

I have a 110 from that set, Dave (your brother) got a 110, think you got a 112, and 2 of my buds in OEF got one (think a 110 and a 112). I had a set of scales extra and Reddrumd (spelled wrong) made a different 110 for me from those. So, some of David Yellowhorse's stuff is solid stone as those slabs were not composite. Also, he signed the blades which I don't think he does so much anymore or signed them differently, forget the details. Bolsters have mountains on them to represent the Hindu Kush mountain chain which runs through the east end of the country.

Reminds me, need to ping my buddies who got the other 2 and see how they are doing.

Yes, I need to take pics, or find some that I have. Dave may have a pic of the entire set.

There was a killer deal on the bay 2 weeks ago. .6 Yellowhorse 110's all with Damascus blades from 1995 or so. . $1,200.00...if they had been 112's I would have been in the dog house or the hospital as I would have bought them. ohen cepel thank you for posting about the set as I never knew you were the source of the lapis. I'll text Dave and ask him to post a picture of his 110 and I'll take a pic of my 112 and send it to him so our Buck buddy's can see what we're talking about. They are beautiful examples of his art.
