As ive been looking around ive noticed most ppls lanyards are more decorative/handle extenders.

I do tie knots whenever ive got some cordage and free time but all my knife lanyards are very simple:

just a loop with a knot tied in the middle. this divides the loop in half. i but my pinky in the end near the handle and index in the other with the lanyard laying across the inside of my hand. this method gives me plenty to grab on to and once ive put the lanyard on gives me alot of freedom when working. make a cut then release the knife and it piviots safely around the bottom of your hand, freeing it up and making recovery easy for when you need to make another cut. also with the blade closed and held as a striking tool even if you lose your grip you wont lose your knife.

i recommend that you try it on any knife you use for long periods of time/and or often. it takes no time to make and taking it apart if you dont like it is just as easy. doesnt take much cordage either 6 in/ little more 2x the width of your hand.

its simple and it works, somthing knife users appreciate.
havent once dropped my delica, or vic spartan yet. ;)
