I feel that the Spin is one of the best Spyders out. Let me make my case.

VG-10 full flat hollow ground wharnie blade!

Spyderhole! (You can really open the Spin one handed)

CRK framelock!

Tight clip (great for slack IWB carry, belt covers the clip in this position)

Ergo's are great! (this tiny knife was made to use)

Can choke way up on it, great for tray cutting cardboard (in retail, you make lots of displays, and you can't cut the product)

Looks sweet!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It has replaced my box cutter, as seen in the pictures.

Ok here we go, my pictures talk for them selfs! I say jump on this blade, you will feel the same way. I should mention I always carry a larger blade with it.

Also you can break this knife all the way down for a good cleaning.

It really is a beautiful knife... the spyder-web is really cool, but I'm personally going to wait for the acid etched version, because my hands tend to sweat easily gripping metal, and the etch will make it easier to keep my hands on!

I don't mean to pick on you...well, okay, maybe I DO mean to pick on you ;) ...what does " VG-10 full flat hollow ground wharnie blade!" mean? Mine is full flat ground, is yours hollow ground (like my Toad)?

Personally, I find the Spin very awkward to open, hold, use and close. I carried mine every day for six months, then left it home and didn't miss it for one second over the next four months.

Sorry Eric :o Love the Manix, love the Dodo, but the Spin leaves me cold.

what does " VG-10 full flat hollow ground wharnie blade!" mean?

What didn't you get?

Full flat, blade is ground all the way up to the backbone/spine

VG-10? Are you kidding?;)

wharnie, really? ;)

I guess different strokes for different folks???

PS. Not to make fun of you, well nevermind to make fun of you maybe you should look at your 2007 product guide from Spyderco.:p Flip to page 17. Take a gander at the Spin on the left side of the page. And O what could it be???................Wharncliffe HOLLOW-ground blade:foot: :foot: ;) ;)

Yours is not Hollow???

So-lo, I think you might have meant full hollow ground? Flat and hollow ground is pretty much a contradiction, sort of like saying a full flat sabre grind.

Nope, mine is a 2006 model and it is full flat ground, not hollow. I was mainly trying to figure out how they got both grinds on one knife. So there :p :D

In the pics it looks like a full flat grind. The word "hollow" should not apply to this knife.

Something ... strange made it into the last picture, right up above the tip of the knife/point of the handle!

I guess I did mean full hollow ground :foot:
I can admit I was wrong, O well learned something new :o

The more I looked at that last picture the more it did look like something strange! I think it might of been??

So off it goes, funny indeed!!!!!!

I want a fully serrated version of it:D

Typical Eric ergo's:thumbup:

When handling one at the A'dam show last year, I could easily open the knife one handed and got a perfect 2 finger grip on it.

When there will ever be a SE version of it, it will replace my beloved SS Cricket/SE;)
