Man, some beautiful collections shown here in the past several pages!! I'll eventually have to pull all of mine together.

This past weekend I drove up to Titusville, PA for the unofficial GEC picnic my two Brother-in-laws. The trip to Titusville was great. We had more time will Bill Howard (GEC’s owner) and Randy Bell (GEC’s chief engineer) than we could ever had hoped for. They hung out with us at the picnic for several hours. We had a chance to ask many questions and talk about previous knives Bill had made. It was really cool when Bill looked through my collection of knives and remembered designing the 1996 Winchester NKCA knife he worked on when he was at Queen.

Bill did say that the no SFO’s announcement has to do with their current situation. He is having trouble staying running at full capacity. His employees are taking a lot of vacation/sick days every since they opened back up following the forced shutdown. There hasn’t been any COVID cases there at GEC or in that area of PA. I’m assuming the employees got spoiled with all that time off. He didn’t rule out future SFO’s if things get back to normal.

Bill didn’t spill the beans about future patterns other than to say that there would be different variations to the 35 in addition to the Beer & Sausage 35.

Even if there isn’t an official GEC Rendezvous next year there will be a unofficial GEC Rendezvous again. I hope to see some of you next year.

Here is Bill checking out my knives on Saturday morning. I think he missed having the GEC Open house this year.

Did anybody ask Bill to clarify if the Bar Tool is a beer foam knife, olive juice remover/poker, beard comb, or cat scratcher?

Well if I win I will raffle it off again and donate that money to wounded warriors. So there is an option for you.
Yep.... whoever wins it could put it on the exchange, like Andrew does, with the fundage going to Wounded Warriors.... although a raffle could raise a lot more money, depending on the interest level....

Good lord, look at that top row and left side of the second row from top.....wow

This was the first time I’ve ever organized all the tubes. They’re organized by tube size, then pattern, then year. Although I recently took a group photo of all the knives themselves, and keep them in drawers grouped by pattern, for some reason the number of #14’s and #15’s seemed more excessive when I was lining up the tubes than they had before. :D

You need more 85's ;) :D.

Nice collection!

I agree! :D

Thanks!

If I owned that many knives so as to have collected that many tubes, my mortgage would be down the tubes.

Slow and steady! ;)

The tube for this one wasn’t included in the photo I posted earlier, because I took that photo yesterday, and this little guy showed up with today’s mail.

Barrett, that #33 is GORGEOUS. I'm so excited for mine to arrive!! so far the tracking info that I've been impulsively reloading seems to indicate tomorrow! I can hardly wait. I love that new shield. It's a winner.

WoW , almost a vertigo

Mine was supposed to arrive tomorrow, but showed up a day early! :D It really is a nice little knife.

I am loving the new shield on these 33s. I'm hoping for one with lighter bone at the ends, I always like the way it looks with a bit more contrast versus being solidly dark all the way across.

Sure did. I had three slips tattooed with the Bootleg 2020 logo. Randy Bell of GEC brought the laser etching machine. Logan Stout of “Knife Thoughts” supplied the logo.

Man, that’s a handsome pemberton! Makes me want one of the two blade variants!
