Lets talk GEC!

A red letter day for all of Porchenberg! The tube label is done and waiting for the seal of approval

From King Charles...our King Charles not the British twit... The town will hold a great and solemn parade...closing off most of the roads in and around Porchenberg for the entire day and causing as much inconvenience and expense as possible for people trying to go about their business.
Just wanted to keep you all in the loop.
Cheers.

They were on Frank's Classic Knives yesterday .... gone now. Other dealers will have them soon I think.
Here are the different varieties I've seen so far. I'm sure this isn't a complete list. Note: they are stamped 2021 but they are brand new being shipped to dealers.

H40121 India Jigged Bone
H40121 Ocean Blue Jigged Bone
H40121 Red Jigged Bone (small seed)
H40121 Ocean Blue Jigged Bone (small seed)
H30121 Hunter Green Jigged Bone (small seed)
H30121 Deep Green Jigged Bone (extra small seed)
H30121 Red India Jigged Bone
H30121 Black Onyx Extra Small Seed

Have a great night.

Which one of these are you going to pick? You have to pick one.

The #35 Calf Pen is an easy pass for me. I'm glad some folks love 'em, but it's just too odd for me (and I really dislike one-arm blades). The Pocket Carver is a nice little knife, I have one of the F&F versions, but as I don't do much whittling/carving, it's mostly found a spot as a Christmas-morning-gift-opening-knife. So I think I'd have to go with the Dixie Stockman there. This prompted me to go back and see when those were made, and I was surprised to see 2018. I'm honestly not sure how I didn't end up with one of those.

Which one are you choosing?

For me, this one comes down to the #72 and the #93. That #72 lockback is a really good looking knife (especially in that picture you posted a page or two ago), but I think I'd have to go with the Lambsfoot if I could only pick one.

This is a fun game. I'll have to see if I can put together a good trio maybe tomorrow and play along.

I’m a ham radio operator and would love to eventually add a radio GEC to the collection. Does anyone have a list of the GEC radio knive(s)? - Ray
Both the 2013 Boys Radio Knife and the 2014 Diamond Radio Jack (a Mr CC SFO) are on 15 frame but the Diamond is clearly an upscale model. These were only two years for the Radio naming convention. In 2014 the Boys Radio Knife became the Crown Lifter with clip or spear and appearred again in 2016 with sheepsfoot. 9D6DE899-D89F-4442-A16A-8D0E4317ED56.jpeg

Here are a couple of new arrivals.

I'm partial to GEC's India Jigged Bone, so it's nice to see this red variation on an H30...

And, here is an H40 in "Ocean Blue" Jigged Bone. Honestly, it could just as easily have been called "Turquoise" Jigged Bone -- just a gorgeous shade of blue...
