Lets talk GEC!

I am sure many people have noticed that since the picture issue arrived, new threads on GECs have not been started and the overall picture volume is way down. I am sure some people are using external pic sites, but my sense is the majority of users have gone silent or close to it. I don’t want to derail this thread, but the lack of native pic hosting seems like a serious problem that has no apparent solution.
I upload directly and it seems to work ok. Are people having an issue?IMG_5542.jpeg

Attachment limits were not set up properly, and people were adding too many pics and causing "search" to crash or something like that; so when limits were properly turned back on, a lot of people were over the limit and could not post more pics without using an outside image hosting site to upload to first.

Ah I see.

i firmly decided to sit out the 39s, but a 2 blade beaver is just too cool to pass up. i am weak.

the hunt is on........ GEC is having a banner year - it is sad that the picture problem on the forum seems to be causing everything to be lumped into this thread instead of threads for each model.........

Is the new beaver two blade? Looked like one blade to me?

It's not the picture issue. waverave waverave used to create a new thread each time, but it looks like he shifted from knives recently, but that's only a guess based on an observation.
That's unfortunate because I probably went through all those old threads of each release, it contained so much information on the pattern as well as getting to see all the different covers,be cool see all the different tomatoes designs.

The 97 Allegheny Beaver arrived today!

I'm really liking the handle shape and feel on this one. Plus.. 3.5 inches of nice 1095 steel in that number "1" style. I like being able to use the long pull or a pinch to open the blade. Not an overly strong spring, still has some snap on the close though. Overall, I'm impressed.
