These were an excellent run of knives. I only got a beaver single blade and a worm clip, but they are all fantastic. Looking at this lineup, I kind of wish I had gone with camel instead of worm. Thanks to my friends that helped me with this set. This is a great hobby.

Will they be Soup Bone, Marrow Bone, Inside-out Bone, or Stew Pot Bone??? Only one knows for sure... and Bill's not saying.
At one time it said soup bone and now says unknown bone.
Canned Chicken Soup Bone?
What an arsenalThanks to my friends that helped me with this set. This is a great hobby.

I agree. It is a fantastic finish, and a great combo of blade shapes. My only issue is it's kind of hard to get at the spey in this model. Maybe mine will loosen up, but I am having a clumsy time with it. The single blade beaver by comparison is a breeze to use, nice action for it's size and I am surprised how much I like the light weight.View attachment 2611282View attachment 2611283View attachment 2611281
Oh boy, are these 39’s nice or what?! This has to be one of GEC’s all time bests. I have always found that the 15 pattern needs a bit of extra weight, either a barlow bolster or a second blade. They are just too light for me as a straight single blade jack. The same holds true for this 39. The extra blade gives it just the right amount of heft. The spey works beautifully in that its length does not create any hot spots while the clip is in use. In fact, it it barely noticeable.
