I'm curious about the "castle hinge" shield. Is that a new one? Or I just haven't seen one before?

I did a couple searches and did not find anything about it.

Yes, those are the only two 86’s that have long pulls for the sheepfoot blades. However, the clip-point and spear point 86’s had plenty of versions with long pulls.

That is exciting. I would love to see the Castle Hinge shield used again. I believe it has only been used on the 2020 33 Conductors.

its very rare form but id certainly like to see a 38 whittler with the clip, usually it falls into the domain of too many blades, but maybe next time

The #34 has been a surprising favorite of mine. I didn't realize how great of a carry this would be when I first got it, I was originally just excited to get a BF knife in hand. However this has proven itself to be an excellent everyday user!
