Let's talk Northwoods

For once I managed to catch one... :)
Hopefully it won't get lost in transit!

There were 500ish in this run, so like 100 of each cover....
I’ve been a part of almost every NW drop in the last 4 years or so… this was by far the fastest.
I had a mammoth on page 4, tried again on page 5… both swiped.
Went to the bone page- this is before 4:02.
I’m thinking it was a smaller r

Whirlwind! I landed a burlap micarta though!!!! My first Northwoods!
I also got a burlap micarta. Would have preferred mammoth, but I figured I had a better chance with the burlap micarta, and I was right.

KSF seems to be only place where I'm fast enough to score anything ever. I got another Northwoods in burlap micarta from them almost exactly a year ago and it is one of my favorite traditional pocket knives. Top five among the more than 50 traditional pocket knives that I own.

I really, really like Northwoods. Quality product. Also, when you consider that these . . . knives ship free . . . I think the price is very fair.

I screwed up and didn’t check the tiny box at the bottom agreeing to terms and conditions, then tried to check out and the system froze on me. Ahhhhhhaiiieeeee

i hate that check box.

That dang terms and conditions box got me too. 🤣

I struck out on the blue bone. They were sold out within 30 - 45 seconds of dropping. It looks like some of the burlap Micarta, and mammoth ivory hung around for just over a minute, lol.

I think this was the fastest sale yet.

Congrats to everyone who scored one! I can't wait to see some pics!

Why are Northwoods so popular? Even more so than other GECs? I understand the mammoth covers but for micarta and bone, are they better for any different reason?

Just curious.
Personally, I really like the saber grind blade profile which I rarely if ever see on a "regular" GEC. Also, in the past, they have always come with a nice leather pouch gratis . . . I didn't even bother to check to see if that's still the case because I was in for one either way.

I like the treatment of the blade.
After all, I'm not a specialist in traditional American knives. I've always wanted a Northwood but couldn't find one that wasn't too expensive. I'm glad I got one.
I bet on a micarta because I thought it would be less sought-after and because I like this material.
