That's a bummer. These stuck around for longer than I figured, but at the end of the day, lots of people still didn't land one. I'm curious to see what the new design will be like.

I need to figure out which one will be my son's Christmas gift. I think he would prefer black over maroon. His knife collection at age 10 is better than mine was at age 40! He's always trying to trade me out of my knives so either one he gets... he's going to try and trade for the other one!

I managed a black micarta and a maroon micarta even with several snafus at PayPal. My first ever Northwoods fixed blades, and Northwoods numbers 2 and 3 for my collection overall! Exciting!!!!
I went for the Maroon Linen Micarta (figured Mammoth and Kudu would be a waste of time) and got one but I also had about five failed attempts and had to stop to enter my old billing address before the order eventually went through. I'm man enough to admit that I was getting a little bit panicky. I didn't try for a Heritage Jack, but I'm thinking now that if I had, maybe I could have got my address issue straightened out earlier. Serves me right, I suppose.

The really odd part is that on all of the attempts, I kept getting notifications from my credit card provider that the charge was approved - but on the KSF site, the checkout would fail because it said my billing address couldn't be confirmed. Same thing happened to me yesterday with the KSF GEC #34 drop - card provider says approved, KSF said no way, aaand - on the final attempt, the site hung - ended up having to chat with Charlie to see if the order went through, which it didn't. On the upside, Charlie seems like a genuinely good dude - even wished me luck for the Fall Creek drop today.

I hate this lolly-whatever nonsense, but I'd like to support KSF when I can.

I went straight to the stragglers, scrolled down and clicked on an arbitrary Heritage Jack and added to my cart. I got all the way to the final confirmation but someone else was a little quicker than me...

Oh well, it was a rush either way. Congrats to those who scored!

I was mostly interested in Mammoth but it was gone too quickly. Tried to snag a Kudu but they disappeared too.
This is precisely how it played out in my head, which is why I went for the Maroon Linen Micarta.

I'm not even sure how well Kudu bone or Mammoth would react to the hot, humid, and swampy conditions that are a near year-round thing in these parts. 🤔
