Blade measures between 1/8 and 5/32 thick. Just a little over thickness for 1/8.


I began making PL knives in 2016. I've done leather work for over 20. I added kydex to my repertoire in the last few years. 3V blades are heat treaded by Peter's with a low temp temper with cryo process that yields improved edge stability and a hardnes of 61-62 Hc. Scales are glued with West Systems G-flex epoxy. My aim is to produce heirloom quality tools with excellent craftsmanship that will provide a lifetime of enjoyment and service.

I was going to put it in a JRE, but I don't have one that fits it so I made up the kydex.

oops. was thinking of the wrong blade. I only made one of this style leuku blades on this 3V batch because I have a new design. There's several of the new ones ready to have handles put on them, so send me a PM with what you want.

Man, not 15 minutes after I posted about money not being an object, I dropped half a mortgage payment on a Carothers Performance Knives knife, so now money is very much an object. Specifically, money is an object in the sense that if I bought another knife right now my wife would murder me with it. Sorry, man, I don’t normally pull back on things like this. If this is a model you plan on having around for a while, I will definitely come back to it once my wife’s memory resets.
