aka, the model 1 wilderness knife.
This one is a longish blade, 6.125 inches, fairly broad at 1 3/8 inches. The scales are fairly heavy, being full rounded thick argentine lignum vitae, which balance out the knife perfectly. It have the regular forge scale finish, buffed out some with steel wool. Cold bluing on the spine and tang.
Convex grind is done "scandi style" as I usually do, easy to care for and holds up very well to use.
Pin and lanyard tube are peened in to add strength to the bond (both varieties of lignum vitae are very oily, and while I haven't had trouble with my epoxy, it's best to be safe.
Sheath is heavy cowhide, double stitched, with adjustable and removable belt hanger strung on horizontal straps. inside of sheath is soaked in linseed oil. Outside is dyed and finished with mink oil.
OAL: 10.75 inches
Blade: 6.125 inches .095 15N20 steel. Differentially tempered with a convex grind
Handle: argentine lignum vitae with brass pins and tubes.
Sheath: expedition model sheath by koyote girl.
SOLD
thanks
