I'm posting up a leuku pattern bushcrafter. This design is a real workhorse, and is my most standard woods knife to put in peoples' hands.

15N20 steel, .095 thick, differentially tempered with a convex grind (convex scandi style). Forge finish on the blade with worked areas of spine and tang blued to match.

Handle scales are Ipe with brass lanyard tubing pins.

OAL: 9.5 inches, blade length 5.25 inches.

Dropped edge for a bit of extra security.

Sheath is Koyote Girl made, double needle hand stitched, double seamed. Adjustable belt hanger goes through both horizontal straps and is removable for mounting sheath on a strap, possibles bag, or pack.

reviews and testing available and searchable on BF.

Spine is not fileworked, but I'm more than happy to add a couple inches of jimping on request.

Asking $155 including shipping. paypal, money order, checks all good.

Thanks!

yah! sorry, haven't replied yet, I'm having a lot of storm issues today. I'll get that one soon.

I like this pattern. Just curious, why tubes instead of pins? Is it to reduce weight, or just a style choice?

I don't always, but often, use tubing pins for the outdoors models. Weight isn't much of an issue with my field knives most of the time- I put out a lot of 3.5 to 7 ounce knives.

The tubing provides options for lanyards. I never, ever, could have imagined using a forward mount lanyard until I did some sword fighting. Then I became sold on them (when the blades slips, it stays in your hand, because the lanyard won't let it go all the way out)

I still carry my lanyards on the rear most of the time but will move one forwardif I'm doing something involving a lot of cutting and slipperiness.

The tubing wall thickness on this piece is thinner than the norm, but I function tested a knife with them and I can't tell any difference in performance- the tubing is bonded to the wood and the tang and, that's all it will be bonded to no matter what! A little light peening and they have a physical hold as well as the exopies.
