AKA the wilderness model 1. Two of them tonight.

First is the XL size, I wanted to do one with a larger blade and this is what I ended up making:

OAL 11 inches

Blade 6.25 inches .095 15N20 convex ground, differential temper. relatively good size drop to the edge.

Handle 4.5 or 4.75 (depending on how you count the drop) natural canvas micarta scales with stainless fittings. Nice and thick, too.

Sheath is a koyote girl made expedition sheath with adjustable carry.

Second is a standard one- dressed up in flame marked osage orange.

OAL 9.75 inches

Blade 5.25 inches .095 15N20, differentially tempered, convex grind. Nice simple filework pattern on rear of the spine

Handle - flame marked osage orange with brass fittings, lanyard holes front and rear. Tung oil finish, 3 coats. Easy to maintain, toss a coat on once a year or so and buff it out with a cloth.

Sheath- not made yet! Will be an expedition sheath, but you have a choice of colors or specific details (firesteel loop or whatever) since it's not made yet

Christof, I'll take the Osage standard! Been waiting for you to make this one! :D

Thanks, Eric- I had a feeling someone had mentioned this handle pattern on a model 1 before.

I like your take on the leuku Christof. The blade is very functional and the handle material is in keeping with that style. Nice
