Technically you could say this is a matched set of stuorra niibi and unna niibaš (big knife and small knife)

I made these as a matched set, with piggyback options for the rig. I've done several piggyback sets for orders, never put one up on the block. The sheaths, having the traditional adjustable belt hangers and wrap around straps, can be hung together. his mode of carry works great.

Of course, they can be carried separately.

The larger one is a variation on my leukuchete- done with a full tang handle in the style of my bolochete blades.

Blade length is 12.25 inches with an overall length of 20.25 inches. Handle length inside the guard is 7.25 inches, giving an immense amount of grip adjustment space- including the much discussed two-handed anti-zombie mode :D

Steel is 1080 .127 thick, full quench and temper, then a differential draw down. Grind is a convexed scandi style, moderately steep for chopping, sharp enough for regular cutting chores. #425

Sheath is an Explorer model, with full adjustments and removability of the belt hanger strap.

Second knife is in my traditional leuku - wilderness model 1- pattern, with a half inch dropped edge. #426

Blade length on this is 5 3/8 inches with an overall length of a hair over 10 inches. 4.5 inches of grip space makes for a roomy handle.

Steel is 15N20, .120 thick, full quench and temper, with a differential temper for the spine. Forge finished, with a much finer convexed scandi grind.

Both knives are handles with ipe, having stainless pins and tubing. Handles on the larger are generous.

For the pair, as a set, price is $375 ,SOLD

folks i have this exact set up i ordered from christof and its a great woods set up. i love mine. well close (mine is a bolochete and has micarta but still)

very nice sir, i think this package should go quickly

pretty beefy leukuchete- right at one pound 5 ounces, but the balance is just forward of the guard, it's a lot of weight in the handle. With the balance point, it feels nice and nimble.

smaller leuku is 7 1.8 ounces and as usual balances at the index finger.

I have done these in bolochete, sierra machete, "large alaskan" and bushbeater combos- They are all a bit different. This one is actually a bit larger on the companion knife than most, I was aiming for a heavy "camp kitchen" usability on that, since food prep is ALWAYS part of the task list :)

this is an older set I did a while back that shows it, I'll try and get photos of this set up today, though

Me too that is AWESOME saved in my favorites and on my list for summer or fall when I get my next big influx of cash!

I like the longer handle. Ever make an 16" or 18" blade with the two hand handle?

yeah, the original bolochete design from the machete challenge is in the 7.5-8 inch handle range with a 14-16 inch handle.

PLEASE! Someone stop me before I explode and throw all caution into the wind!

I REALLY want to drop the hammer on this set!!!

I'm weakening...so...nice...

AKC, you wont be sorry... I'd do It if I had the cash.. Christof, we will need to talk about a set up like this later. Maybe just the Chete in the same pattern as the EDC we worked on.?
Very Slick package!

Email sent.

Because I sent it quickly, to hopefully ensure that I was the first to offer a bid, I didn't have a chance to say how great these two knives look together. I hope that no one has beat me to the punch.
