I know they're not considered as exciting as the CUDAs, BK&Ts, or the Talon, but when is the 440 upgrade for the Lev-R-Loks expected to be on the market?

johniet,
All production of the LEVER-LOCK is planned to be 420HC. We are pleased with the performance we get from this steel, when properly heat treated, for the 'dollar'. At Rc 57, it holds and edge reasonably well, is VERY corrosion resistant, and is easy to resharpen, and a cost that more people can enjoy. If there are any changes in the steel down the road, I will spread the word from here first.

Thanks for your interest!

Hm...then I guess there's no reason to put off getting one :^)

Seriously, I did a search to make sure I wasn't imagining things, and back around December you did mention a switch of blade steel. I don't really mind either way, but the main reason for postponing purchase was the thought that 440 was coming.
