This knife is for sale. I do not know much about it except that the maker is "Levine" and it is marked "Desert Storm, USA" and the number "129". The blade is 4 1/2 inches long and does not appear to have been used, although it looks to have been sharpened. The handle looks to be ironwood. It has a nice form fitting leather sheath. I am sorry to have to let this knife go. EBAY will get this knife shipped and insured in the US.

If there are any questions or interest, please email me at parang1@comcast.net. Thank you for looking. David Farmer

Would also consider partial trade for user Strider folders (SnG or AR non serrated). Email me.....
THIS ONE IS AT EBAY. THANK YOU.

This looks like one of the Desert Storm knives done in 1990/1991 by a number of knifemakers. I have one that was done by Kelgin/Ken Largin. I haven't dug it out, but the handle is similar, the markings are similar, the blade shape is similar. I believe they all were made in somewhat similar designs. The project was put together through Fighting Knives mag, I think, so maybe Greg Walker can address this better. My Kelgin knife is an incredible knife.

I forgot to mention the whole point of the project was to make reasonably inexpensive custom fighters to send to Desert Storm troops. That's where the first ones went.

Made by Norman Levine, marked his blades Dragon Knives... he's now deceased.

Norman and I were friends for a number of years. He Was an engineer in Huntsville Ala, I belieave for N.a.s.a.. If memory surves me correctly. Norman moved to Ca. quite a few years ago, with his wife and her sister. Happy sailing Norman, and thanks for days gone by, You are not forgotten, M. Lovett Maker
