This is one of my Bowie fighters, like my ex-wife it is both beautiful and terrible. Hand forged to profile from .214"(damn near 1/4 inch) thick 5160 spring/tool steel it was then finish ground (flat), oil hardened, tempered to 475F., and polished. I put a pretty high shine on these, but carbon steel must be cared for and will patina with use,so i am offering to parkerize this free of charge if the buyer wishes. Parkerizing is a corrosion resistant Zinc Phosphate coating in charcoal grey commonly used on military equipment. It doesn't make them pretty but it does make them practical. The scales are made from Cocobolo, polished and removable for cleaning or maintenance. It is 14&1/2" long overall, and 7&5/8 tip to wood. I etched this one with my makers mark. The top edge is sharp, check local laws.
I'll take $95.00 shipped in the U.S. and $10.00 more outside, preferably paypal. Contact me here or at djl66ftwii@gmail.com. Thank you for your interest.

SOLD!
