This is one of my hand forged clip point hunters, cut from a .214" bar of 5160 HC spring steel. I forge in the taper to the edge then finish grind,oil harden,temper to 475F. and usually polish them. This one still has the file marks on the body and the flats are out to a 180 grit matte.
