This one is still available, I cut this to a drop point pattern from .214" 5160 H.C. steel, then hand forging the taper to the edge changes the profile to this. I then oil hardened, tempered to 475F. and finished it out to a 180 grit matte. I offer Parkerizing free of charge, because carbon steel must be cared for and WILL patina with use. The removable scales are Cocobolo, polished and finished with an orange oil/beeswax combo. It is 9&3/16"overall and 4&3/8 tip to wood. I accept paypal, 65.00 shipped to your door in the U.S., Contact me here or at djl66ftwii@gmail.com SOLD!

I was going for a Santuko (except not thin) but ended up with more of a short chef's knife. I cut them from a .214" bar of 5160 H.C. spring steel, then hand forge the taper to the edge. I then finish grind, oil harden, temper to 475F. and on this one took it out to a 180 grit matte finish. The removable scales are Cordia, polished and finished with an orange oil/beeswax combo. It is 11" overall and 5&9/16 tip to wood. I accept paypal, $65.00 shipped to your door in the U.S., contact me here or at djl66ftwii@gmail.com. THIS SANTUKO IS SOLD.

nice score!--I'm covered on mid-length cooking knives, but if it were about 1.5 - two inches longer ... :(

I'll have one like you describe done in a little more than a week, but I'll be asking $10.00 more.
