This is one of my Bowie fighters, like my ex-wife it is both beautiful and terrible. Hand forged to profile from .214" thick 5160 spring/tool steel it was then finish ground (flat), oil hardened, tempered to 475F., and usually polished. This one i took out to a 180 grit matte. Carbon steel must be cared for and will patina with use,so i am offering to parkerize this free of charge if the buyer wishes. Parkerizing is a corrosion resistant Zinc Phosphate coating in charcoal grey commonly used on military equipment. It doesn't make them pretty but it does make them practical. The scales are made from Goncalo alves, polished and removable for cleaning or maintenance. It is 13&5/8" long overall, and 8&5/8" tip to wood, and weighs almost 13 ounces. The top edge is sharp, check local laws. It is the last one in the rough picture. I will take $80.00,paypal prefered. Contact me here or at djl66ftwii@gmail.com. Thank you for your interest. This knife is also for sale on ebay starting at $50.00 with a buy it now of $80.00, If you buy it here i will end the auction. SOLD!
