This is one of my Bowie fighters, like my ex-wife it is both beautiful and terrible. Hand forged to profile from .214"(damn near 1/4 inch) thick 5160 spring/tool steel it was then finish ground (flat), oil hardened, tempered to 475F., and polished. I put a pretty high shine on these, but carbon steel must be cared for and will patina with use,so i am offering to parkerize this free of charge if the buyer wishes. Parkerizing is a corrosion resistant Zinc Phosphate coating in charcoal grey commonly used on military equipment. It doesn't make them pretty but it does make them practical. The scales are made from Cordia, polished and removable for cleaning or maintenance. It is 13&11/16" long overall, and 8&11/16 tip to wood, and weighs over 12 ounces. The top edge is sharp, check local laws. I'll take paypal, $80.00 shipped in the U.S., $10.00 more outside Not that it matters, but the screws on this are military surplus aircraft electrical panel fasteners for the B52 and F14 among others. Thank you for your interest.SOLD!
