These were made at the same time, cut from the same .214" thick bar of 5160 high carbon spring steel, the chefs knife to a pattern almost the opposite of the end profile. When i hand forge in the taper, the displacement changes the profile. I then finish grind(flat),oil harden, temper to 475F. and take them out to a 180 grit matte. I used to work in a chrome shop, where i learned to get a decent finish, and i would polish them a step further if the buyer wishes. The chef's knife is 11" overall and 5&7/16"tip to, The cleaver is 10&1/2" measured at the spine and 4&7/8 to the wood. The Cocobolo scales were cut from the same board, feature hand inlet brass hardware, are polished and finished with an orange oil/beeswax combo, and are removable for cleaning or maintenance. Carbon steel MUST be cared for and WILL patina with use. I'll take $75.00 apiece shipped in the U.S. or $145.00 for both since I'd save that much in shipping. I prefer paypal, contact me here or at djl66ftwii@gmail.com

Really nice set of knives there!
They compliment each other perfectly.
And what a steal at that price.
