This was a customers design, a sheepsfoot caping knife. yeah i know it looks a little strange, butwhen it's in your hand and you choke up on it and your thumb is in the pocket, you can tell it is an easily controlled and versatile skinner. I cut them from a .214" thick bar of 5160 H.C. spring steel and hand forge the taper to the edge. I then finish grind, oil harden, temper to 475F. and polish them, but this one i took out to 180 grit matte. I offer polishing or parkerizing free of charge, carbon steel must be cared for and will patina with use. It is 9&1/8" long overall and 4&3/8 tip to wood. The Goncalo alves scales are a nice caramel color, feature hand inlet brass hardware, are finished with a orange oil/beeswax combo and are removable for cleaning or maintenance. Also I'm not trying to get rich off them so I'll take $65.00 shipped to your door in the U.S. ($10.00 more outside). I prefer Paypal, Contact me here or at djl66ftwii@gmail.com. Thank you for your interest. SOLD!
