This is my Tactical, it has my version of a Gerber version of an Ek designed blade,This one has my Kukri's "sine wave" handle by mistake. I thought a customer had ordered it this way. It is .214"( although the finishing process will necessarily remove some thousandths) thick,12&1/2" overall and 7&1/16" tip to wood. Also it weighs almost 12 Ounces, a substantial piece. This is a stock removal piece, made from 5160 spring/tool steel, oil hardened and tempered to 475F. and polished. I now offer Parkerizing free of charge,Parkerizing is a corrosion resistant Zinc Phosphate coating commonly used on military equipment, it never makes them pretty, just practical . The Cordia
scales are polished, finished with an Orange oil/beeswax combo, feature brass and stainless hardware, and are removable for cleaning or maintenance. I'll take $80.00 paypal, shipped in the U.S.,$10.00 more outside. Contact me here or at djl66ftwii@gmail.com (also my paypal address).Thank you for your interest.

What is the purpose of the notch in the blade? I have not seen it before. Thanks!

Just a way to start the actual sharpened edge. Without it, repeated sharpening would create a visible issue. I'm sure if you look at pictures of other peoples work you will find similar notches at the beginning of there edges. I just looked at some, and although not as common as would think, I really am not the only guy looking ahead for my customers.

This maker has a very distinct, unique style. To me, the notch only adds that much more character to an already extremely ergonomic knife. This style has Mad skills written all over it.

This thing is bad ass! I have no idea how to fight with a knife, but this one sort of inspires me to learn. Great job man!

Thank you, but i think that my Bowie would be a better knife fighting piece. Although i haven't ever been in one.
