Liberty Tool & Hulls Cove Tool Barn, Liberty and Hulls Cove, Maine

I'm sticking with raw linseed oil. I'm not sure I need any more grip on my handles. Got my little soaker (28" long) in action last night. I need to install some sort of drain for the linseed oil. Any ideas? (this is PVC).

I'd just use a wide mouth funnel to pour the BLO out of your soak-er, back to the container. I like your soaker, how much BLO does it hold to fill her up?

Why don't you just leave it in your soaker? Does it not have a screw top?

True enough (it does have a screw top) but I had to fill it up close to the top on this one and I have two! one 36" and one 28". Maybe I'm overthinking it but am excited to actually have put it together.

Double Ott - the 28" soaker took up about 3/4 of a gallon. I suspect the larger one will take up a gallon.

I bet you could just tap in a little valve. I'd do in in the cap since it's thicker PVC than the pipe and be sure to use some glue. OR you could replace the whole bottom cap with a ball valve....

Here ya go Memphis... Here's a few pics of my 'work of art' soaker :D
It's filthy because I've keep it in the woodshed and the chickens scratch in there all the time stirring up dust.
Stupid chickens :)

I/we actually got the idea from Skog.
I started hanging a Kelly 2 3/4 lb worlds finest 'Connecticut' this afternoon, but I got side tracked and didn't get it finished. It's a nice 28' La Pierre handle.
