Lierenaar - a knife from the belgian/german border

I´m glad that this thread always comes back from the depth of the forums. Much appreciated, fellows :)

Thanks for the historic background and taking time to post that facts here, Jon. Very informative read.

I like it, very rudimentary, and made with use in mind. The lock in my mind isn't too far off, from the Okapi, style lock. Which the Okapi is a German knife originally. I always enjoy your threads Humppa. I like any thread dealing with some sort of obscure, ethnic folder, made with use in mind. It's mind boggling how many there are.

I like it.
Nothing fancy.
Just functional.
A blank canvas for embellishment.
Cheers Andi and
wunsche ich Ihnen ein frohes Weinachten.

Hello everybody :)
Is there anybody in Belgium producing Lierenaar knives? I'd love to get one made in Belgium, since I'm collecting knives from all around the world and all I can find are made in Solingen, Germany.

@Jolipapa Oh, alright. An article got me wrong ;)
So is there a traditional Belgian knife? Like an ethnic one? :D
