Life is hard

Sometimes it is really tough, being a CRK dealer. I mean, you get these beautiful works of art in and then you have to turn around and send them off to some stranger.

I just received a large Sebenza with Maple Burl inlay and it is the most beautiful knife I have ever seen, at least, to my eyes. The dark woodgrain pattern is exquisite.

The problem is, my wife says I can't keep it. The same with the Damascus blade Sebenza and Umfaan. I like them so much that I just don't want to sell them but if I don't, I'm going to have to buy a doghouse so I'll have someplace to sleep.

That's the problem with being a dealer in something like this. This stuff is so neat that you just want to keep it all for yourself.

I gotta tell you. Life is really tough sometimes.

Doghouses are pretty cheap though...

As a dealer, at least you can survey what you have and waht you want to sell and what you want to keep. Kinda nice.

You're right, Clay, except, if I did that I wouldn't even be able to afford the doghouse.

How do they say it? "So many knives, so little........" well,... you know.

Novadak, I would like to post pictures, I just don't know how. I have this nice Sony digital camera and everything but I haven't figured out how to get the pictures off the disk and onto the forum. I'm working on it though.

Dennis has brought up the question that I have been too embarrased to ask - How do you post pictures on the forum? If someone can post some instructions, I have some beauties I'd like to share here!
Thanks.
Steve

For instructions on how to include a picture in your posting, go to the data entry screen for posting and click on the area on the left side of the screen called: "UBB Code is ON". The instructions are there.

If I were a CRK dealer I'd be very broke, and very happy.

Kind of like a crack dealer addicted to crack, it just don't work for me...

Novadak,

First off, nice overall picture! Sebenza looks GREAT!....But I must confess I am also a bit of a compass nut, I've got enough of them I could supply a whole scout troop.

What type brand etc is on the picture with the Sebenza? (I MUST have one!)

The sheath maker I know...and it is very nice also.

Oh yeah, I *WISH* that was my Sebenza.. I was just trying to put a picture up to see if I could do it.. I just grabbed a random picture off of the CRK site!

Funny how things work out. That picture could, very well, be of the knife they sent me. It looks very much like it. I'll have to check it out and compare them when I get back to the store on Tuesday. The grain pattern on the wood looks about right and, considering that they only make five of them a month, it is entirely possible. Wouldn't that be interesting?

Well, I checked the knife I have and, while it is close, it isn't the one. The grain pattern is a bit different. Almost, but not quite it.
