I recently picked up and Al-Mar Falcon and Eagle and I am absolutely amazed at how light and comfortable they are to carry. So then I got to thinking are there any other very light but solid EDC Knives out there???

I have had a Spyderco Dragonfly frn, for about 10+ years. Its small and light, yet it is a work horse. I find carrying this knife over all my others.

My others include: Kershaw Shallot s110v, ZT0350, Protech Runt3, Benchmade mini grip.

The only knife that is with me more is my classic SAK which is on my keys.

Ya definitely the spyderco FRN models like the Endura, Delica, Native etc... and of course the Kershaw KO models like the Leek Scallion Chive Shallot etc... And I second the Mini Griptillian -Excellent knife!

I would say that the Spyderco Native fits your description to a 'T'.

Never having owned a Spyderco before, I was highly impressed with the Native.

Kershaw Skyline comes to mind.

+1

Kershaw Sapphire is very light. The Benchmade Benchmite comes to mind, although it's pretty small.

For more bucks, most of the William Henry line is very light weight. CRK Mnandi is also light. Moki makes some really light folders, as does Seki Cut. All of these have excellent F&F too.

spyderco delica, spyderco urban, spyderco native, anything basically in teh spyderco lightweight category, kershaw leek, kershaw chive, kershaw skyline, benchmade 555 minigrip, benchmade mini presidio, benchmade 940 i could go on for days

Definitely the Benchmade 943. It's very thin, with a 3.4 inch blade, as well as being light. I think I remember it being something like 2.62 ounces.

Delica is not a bad choice, I have the waved version and it's
a very comfortable carry. It's my travel blade.

I've been wanting an Al Mar Eagle for some time, but other
knives keep getting in the way saying, "Buy me first!"

3" blade, great steel, very solid, 1.5oz.
Also, great AGR warranty, and service.

while none of the suggestions are heavy, most weigh a heck of a lot more than the AMKs. The ultralights are about half the weight of knives of the same blade length. The falcon is 3.15" & 1.25 oz., the skyline is 3.125" & 2.3 oz, native III is 3.125" & 2.65 oz.
