I'm a big fan of the Micarta Calypso models. I'm thinking about picking up the light weight model now. The light weight model seems like a recent offering. Why didn't it get the nice bolt on clip like the Native, Delica and Endura?
The Calypso jr. is a tip down carry knife and that clip just wouldn't look right on it. They are very nice. Beck's( www.beckscutlery.com ) had a few in stock. Plus they had some micarta versions still laying around.

I have four members of the Calypso family (Calypso Plain, Calypso Jr. Plain, Calypso Jr. Serrated, and Calypso Jr. Lightweight Plain). I think the clip on the Lightweight is the best clip on a zytel knife that Spyderco makes (at the moment
). I don't know how well the threaded metal inserts will hold up, but so far they have worked great. I also think that a tip up Calypso Jr would look strange. I don't think you will be disappointed in the zytel Calypso Jr., if you are a fan of the original.

Them:"What's that clipped to your pocket, a beeper?"
Me:"Uuh....yeah, something like that."
