Forge welded mild steel over a 5160 bit
The bit is heat treated to Rc 58-60
Hickory handle
Handle length to the top of the head: 13 inches
Head length: 5 3/4 inches
Cutting edge: 3 inches

Very nice. I get on here every couple days and first thing, search for your knives and axes, just to look at them and admire. I've made a few tomahawks but no axes. Always done stock removal and just learning to forge blades. Also learning some forge welding. I look at your work, very inspiring. Keep it up, I enjoy seeing it!
Edit to ask: You don't have to answer this but, am I right, that is a folded axe and not a punched & drifted eye?

Not g really folded but 4 pieces forge welded.
