Light duty camp knife for small hands?

First of all, I don't think she said "scandi grinds are meh." She just didn't like that knife.

My wife, who absolutely scoffs at my knife collection, has nonetheless tried at least a dozen and swears by an Opinel. The thin blade makes it ideal for food prep, and I'm the guy doing the bushcrafting around camp anyway. Otherwise, a Spyderco somethingorother with a full flat grind. (And yes, I know those aren't fixed blades, but if that's an absolute requirement, just grind it down.)

Nap, we have several different Moras in the family. Whenever she uses one for camp kitchen duties she distinctly dislikes the Scandi propensity to dive deep or break as much slice harder stuff (carrots, potatoes, etc...). So while no she does not say "I have come to the conclusion that I don't like the Scandi ground blade." She does say "I don't like the way THAT cuts."
We have already covered folders. She does not like Opinels (I agree with you the thin sharp blade CUTS!). She already has a FFG Byrd Meadowlark and her favorite, a SAK Explorer.
She WANTS a fixed blade. I WANT to encourage and facilitate her to take an interest in knives and outdoor type stuff.
This is really a question that has been answered. She likes the grip on a Mora Companion. Baryonyx does a FFG version. I will be buying her this when he has one available.

leghog, I think the FFG Grohmann #2 (or #1) would be PERFECT for her. When I first showed her a picture she thought maybe. I do not think she was paying attention though. I later showed her again and she said "No, that's weird looking."
As a coincidence. I bought my son a carbon steel (Gotta love a young man who appreciates carbon steel!) Grohmann #3 with micarta and the jump sheath. It should be here this week. He picked it out as his own first "nice" knife. He has a few knives that were passed down to me. But, his users are Moras. He is 15 now and has earned it.

Everybody says that UNTIL they handle and use one. After that they don't seem to look so weird.

Ok, for the sake of closure.
My wife just received her FFG Black Stainless Companion from Baryonyx. It is perfect and yet again Benjamin was great to do business with. She likes her new "camping steak knife".
Thanks to all for suggestions.
