Some experimentation with ground scale and clay on this one to retard the quench. I'm very happy with the results :). Lots happening in the hamon and some groovy bainite banding going on that I just can't capture with the lense :(.
Spes : BL 5 1/2", 140mm. OAL 11", 280mm. Weighs in at 6 1/2 oz, 200grms. Clip sharp for 1 1/2", 38mm. Stainless guard with G10 and bronze spacers, stabilised Coolibah burl handle, tooled leather sheath with frog enabling traditional or cross carry.

Awesome knife and great price on that. The hamon is KILLER!! The hamon and the time to polish it is worth the price of this piece alone.

Gorgeous hunting knife. Couldn't ask for a better combination of steel an elegant sheath with killer wood.
 
... And scalloped blade guard, domed pin, nicely sculpted handle, custom leather work. I'm not zooming it, but fit and finish appear top notch! Reminds me of the Nick Wheeler Fighting Bowie. Excellent work.
