At 4 ounces I carry a knife similar to this for field dressing deer, caribou, elk, black bear and small game; moose, maybe something a little bigger. I have used a similar blade to gut and skin elk several times with good results.
Forged from 52100 high carbon steel
Heat treated to Rc 58-60 with three normalizing and two tempering cycles creating a fine grain structure throughout the blade
Flat grind
The hidden tang is epoxied to about 3/4 of the way into the handle
Professionally stabilized figured maple handle
Black Micarta guard with brass, Micarta and G10 spacers
Overall length: 8 1/4 inches
Blade: 3 7/8 inches
Leather scabbard with a belt loop for a right hand carry
SOLD delivered within the US. My PayPal and email address is gldrewknives@gmail.com
