Lighters

I love zippos I have 5 or 6 I can`t remember I give them as gifts all the time. But for work I carry a mini Bic in a holder they sell at the gas station it keeps the gas button from getting pushed by stuff in my pocket and makes it easier to hold onto .I have had it happen a few times and I know guys from work who have it happen all the time in the winter (we work outside in central Michigan) the Bic will not light when too cold (under 25 degrees) the Bic has to be pre-warmed before lighting .Love my Zippos but I got sick of my lack of maintaining it and it running out of fluid. Here is a pic but any speedway has them for under 3 bucks ( http://i.ebayimg.com/11/!BflTTMw!mk~$(KGrHqUH-C0Erf(7o2TVBLB6ijBJpg~~_3.JPG )

I squirrel away a few of those mini Bic lighters, but I also carry a Zippo, with a very small bottle of spare fuel, as well as firesteel and a few other firestarters. They're all very small, so they don't weigh much. My ammo on the other hand.

I recently acquired a Ronson Jet Lite refillable Butane lighter. It's like a miniature blow torch, way easier to igniite things with than the standard Bic type lighter. What I dislike about it is that its useless as a light source. A Bic lighter has provided quick illumination for me on many occasions.

I've carried one of those for a couple years now. It is fairly fragile compared to a Bic, the jet gets a little dirt in it and then it won't light. I've found that when this happens you can blow down on the jet as hard as possible and that usually cleans it out and it lights again. If not, try an air compressor gun...

I have also hot rodded mine. I have removed the child safety spring, so you don't need to be an 800 lb gorilla to hold the button down for prolonged periods.
