Lightest 3.5" Defense Folder?

As far as the pepper spray, you something to consider. Is it windy where you live? You may want to consider using a foam and forget trying to use it as a stand off defense. You don't want it in your face while trying to keep watch on Fido.

Hi Dirk!

I couldn't help but laughing so hard when I was picturing the scenario. Hehehehe. :D It could be so true , though. :)

Fulloflead,

Truly agree with u, seriously. Don't think a knife is appropriate/necessary in this situation. :)

Hi, atlasfields ... probably ought to elaborate on that so it makes sense:

Denver had had on its books for several years a law making it illegal to own/harbor pit bulls (maybe other breeds also; dunno.) Anyway, the Colorado legislature just passed a law overriding the right of cities and towns to ban specific breeds. At the same time, they upped the penalties for having an aggressive dog, and also changed the law so that a dog owner can be sued the first time their dog bites or attacks someone; used to be "every dog gets one free bite." Apparently Denver is considering challenging the law.

Like almost everything else with government, where it all leads, who knows? Maybe when the court dockets get clogged up with dog bite cases, they'll rethink things. And of course, none of this changes the fact that many preferred insurance providers won't underwrite homeowner's coverage if you own a dog they consider an aggressive breed.

My docile, friendly wirehaired pointer is at no risk of being replaced by a pair of Presas. Just kidding.

LOL!, fulloflead. Sounds like you've been thinking about Colorado's new dog ownership law, and how to deal with it, or maybe even benefit from it (or do you think Denver will challenge?)

The hell with knives, guns and other weapons ... maybe I'll just get a couple of Presas for pets. :(

I know there's been about a kazillion attacks reported in the news lately, but I haven't been following the law issue.

Generally speaking, I think they should lock the owners up and not take it out on the dog.

I run 4 days a week with a Spydie PE Endura clipped. It's a onubtrusive beater but it's light, sharp and easily deployed with sweaty hands.
