Hi, I was wondering what is the lightest folding knife for the size of the blade?
Also a low price would be nice.
Thanks
oh and also meant Recommendation not "How to"

Why such an emphasis on weight? If you're looking for the best size to weight ratio well then I think a little razor blade can't be beat.

Okay a serious answer, look to some of the Spydercos. They make some really light weight knives and their quality is top notch. Check out their Delica (smaller), Endura (larger), and Centofante 3 (middle ground) and see which one you like the most, as they are all very light weight.

The lightest knife I ever handled and own, is a GTC Prisma. It has a 3 1/2 inch blade, and titanium handles.

CLOSED: 4.30"(10.92cm)
WEIGHT: 2.50oz(71g)

Get a Dalton, then hope you never have to kill anyone with it because it's probably illegal for you to own one (unless you're police or military).

But that small caveat aside, they are very light, fast, and mean blades.

For about $100 you can get an A. G. Russell Italian Tactical with a 3 1/2 " ATS-34 blade and an all titanium handle and is a frame lock. It weighs only 3.1 oz. The knife cuts like a laser and clips deep in the pocket.

I still think the Al Mar is hard to beat in THIS category.

Spec's:
BLADE LENGTH: 4"
O.A.L.: 9"
BLADE THICKNESS: .10"
WEIGHT: 2 oz.

bm 530 for sure

kershaw zing is pretty light

spyderco salt 1 and spyderco native 1 are both pretty light too.

The Kershaw junkyard dog II with SG2 blade and titanium handles feel extremely light for its size, a little hard to find and it is around $150.00

Benchmade 530!

1.7 oz/ 3 1/4" cutting edge, and very, very thin.

I'm a spyderco diehard, but there's nothing in their lineup (or anyone elses) that is as efficient in terms of weight/width/cutting edge ratio. The knife also cuts very well, and is fun to play with b/c of the axis lock. A real winner!
