Has anyone tried one of these? They are out of stock at present for a recall which makes me wonder about them. They look like it might be just the trick for a drill press or something like that though!
All I can say it's terrible when your eyes get old like mine!

On a related note anyone know an electrical supply where you can buy some of that flexabile goose neck, that stays where you flex it too, like they use on those and other lights like that?
Looks like someone has to be supplying it to the companies that build the lights.

If I could find some of that I might be tempted to build one of my own! I think those are battery powered but I could manage a cord if I built my own no problem!

Go to Home Depot, Lowes, or some place that has BBQ. They usually have A LED light with a goose neck and magnetic base for $20 or less. I'll try the one on my BBQ for my drill press.

On your BBQ?

Oh, this definately needs PICS!:confused::confused::confused:

If all you're wanting is a light with a flexible neck, you might be able to canabalize a cheap reading lamp and make it more to what you want. You might be able to find an LED bulb to fit in the standard light socket. And I really don't like those magnetic mounts on work lights. They tend to not be strong enough in my experience.

I actually did build a floor lamp that may what you want. All I did was clamp a flex-neck style lamp to a wooden stand.

Check out the clamp lights in the lighting section at Home Depot or Lowe's. Even cheaper will be Harbor Freight. I use a similar light to the one you posted on my togi dai. It has a much more robust magnetic base and pretty good LED lights. I have other ones that have squeeze clamps and goose necks on my band saws, mill, and lathe. They cost about $7 each.

Have you got a link to "my togi dai" so I can take a look at this light?
